Welcome to the LDBWS website

The Lancaster and District Birdwatching society covers an area of north Lancashire, south Cumbria, and North Yorkshire, organising indoor meetings and field trips, collecting records of birds seen, and organising surveys with the BTO and others. To find out more, explore the links in the bar at the top of the page.

The primary reason for visiting this website for many people is to access up-to-date news on bird sightings in our area. Anybody can submit records, and the sightings page can be accessed wherever you are in the website by clicking "Birdnews" on the bar at the top of the page. Friendly discussion is also encouraged, in a subsection of the sightings page!
